Am I quiet quitting my own podcast?
Turns out, I am. Well, I have been quiet quitting my beloved podcast.
I told myself that I didn't have time to sell sponsorships or network with the podcast community when i was working full-time.
The truth is, I was hiding.
Can you believe it? I HAVE BEEN HIDING!
I went to the largest podcast conference last week called Podcast Movement.
I had my targets to meet and form relationships with execs from Vox Media, NPR, Lemonada Media, and Pushkin - ALL PERFECT media brands that fit with Culture Changers.
But I shrank. I didn't know how to confidently describe my podcast in a way that I could convince them to take a meeting with me.
I told myself that my podcast wasn't big enough to be valuable to podcast networks yet, etc. But I would contact them to pitch it when I was ready. UGH!
I wasn't valuable enough until I had numbers to back it up.
WOW. You can see where this is going, right? 🙈
These old patterns are coming up and giving me a chance to notice more clearly and make a different choice.
Btw, this keeps happening since I had my psychedelic experience (highly recommend, btw - what a powerful difference).
I put together a wish list for my podcast. I cancelled all my appointments for a day once I returned and did a deep dive on my brand....
Brand values. Brand personality. Consumer/listener values. Highest order benefits of the podcast. And core values which drive everything I do.
Turns out, I've been selling myself and my listeners short.
And I am re-emerging fresh, new, and empowered.
I can't hide anymore - and I am excited to get my groove back and put my full weight behind the podcast. It's powerful, y'all. And it's good!
I must thank you for being on this ride with me. I appreciate you reading my emails/blog posts week after week and sending me such thoughtful notes.
In the meantime, we are in the midst of the Work Culture series on Culture Changers.
Psychological safety is a big buzzy word these days and is fast becoming an absolute requirement that companies need to adapt to attract and retain their best talent.
But how?
CEO Stephan Wiedner of Noomii Professional Coach Directory and Zarango sat down with me to discuss. You won't want to miss this.

P.S. Would you help me redefine my core values? I would LOVE your input as a listener. Can you open this list and email me back with what you would consider my top 5 core values from this list? Shouldn't take you more than a minute or 2. Thank you so much!
P.P.S. Weird Al was always ahead of his time. But Madonna? Didn't see that coming!
P.P.P.S. Absolutely ROCKED by this. #allpunsintended
